You prayed to a sky and the sky answered back. For a thousand years the people of Zendikar worshipped Emeria — their benevolent goddess of dawn, white wings, peace. They never knew what wore her face. Emrakul, the Aeons Torn — the youngest and most terrible of the Eldrazi titans — was the angel above their altars all along, waiting, watching them breathe. When she finally unwove her disguise, the cathedrals were already hers, and the prayers had always been her own.
